MuseVision Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to MuseVision (package com.trikernl.musevision, hereinafter referred to as the "App"). MuseVision is a curated HD wallpaper application that lets users discover, save, and apply hand-picked wallpapers to their device's home and lock screens.

This App is free, supported by short ads, and we understand the importance of privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use this App.

By downloading, installing, or using this App, you consent to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not consent, please do not use this App or its services.

1. Type and Purpose of Information Collected

1.1 Personal Information

We will not actively collect your personal information unless you voluntarily provide it. Personal information may include name, email address or other contact information.

Users have the right to request access to personal data we collect, and may submit a verifiable request to us via email at yunhuikeji888@gmail.com. We will process your request after verifying your identity.

1.2 Data Controllers

trikernl is the data controller for MuseVision and can be contacted by email at yunhuikeji888@gmail.com.

1.3 Non-Personal Information and Permission Related Information

1.3.1 Necessary Permissions (Core Function Dependencies)

• INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Used to fetch wallpaper thumbnails and originals from the public CDN, and to display ads served by Google AdMob.
• SET_WALLPAPER: Used to apply your selected wallpaper to the device home screen, lock screen, or both.
• WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 9 and below only): Used to save wallpapers you explicitly download into the device's Pictures folder. On Android 10 and above, the App writes to Pictures/MuseVision via MediaStore without requesting any storage permission.
• com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID: Required by Google Play for any app that integrates an advertising SDK. Used so AdMob can serve relevant ads via the resettable Android Advertising ID.

We assure you that we will not share or distribute any user data obtained through these permissions without your explicit consent, unless otherwise required by law.

1.3.2 Permissions We Do NOT Request

For full transparency, MuseVision does not request any of the following permissions:

• Precise or approximate location (no GPS, no Wi-Fi triangulation)
• READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_MEDIA_VIDEO / READ_MEDIA_AUDIO — we never read your existing photos, videos, or audio
• READ_CONTACTS, READ_CALENDAR, READ_CALL_LOG — we do not access your contacts, calendar, or call logs
• CAMERA, RECORD_AUDIO — the App has no camera or microphone features
• READ_PHONE_STATE — we do not read your phone identifiers

1.3.3 Automatically Collected Information

• Device basic information: Including phone model, brand, and operating system version, used for fault diagnosis and compatibility optimization.
• Device identifier: The Android Advertising ID (resettable in your phone Settings) is used by Google AdMob for personalized advertising.
• Application activity data: In-app interaction signals such as which wallpaper category was opened, used in aggregate to improve the curation experience. This data is not linked to your identity.
• Application performance data (Firebase Crashlytics): Including crash logs, stack traces, device model, OS version, and a random non-personal install ID. Used to detect and fix problems. Crashlytics does not include your IP address or any user-identifying data.

2. How We Use the Information We Collect

2.1 Advertisement

MuseVision displays the following ad formats served by Google AdMob (Google LLC):

• App Open Ad — shown briefly when you re-open the App.
• Interstitial Ad — shown after a wallpaper is successfully applied or upon returning from the detail page (subject to a frequency cap).
• Rewarded Video Ad — shown only when you actively choose to watch one in exchange for unlocking a high-resolution wallpaper.

Personal data collected by AdMob: cookies, usage data, and the Android Advertising ID. Google's use of this data is governed by their own privacy policy.

2.2 Analytics

MuseVision does not integrate Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, Facebook Analytics, or any third-party event-analytics SDK. We rely solely on the aggregate, non-personal usage signals provided by Google AdMob and Google Play Console (such as install counts and crash-free rate).

2.3 Infrastructure Monitoring

Service provider: Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC). Personal data collected: device model, OS version, stack trace of any crash, and a random non-personal install ID generated by Crashlytics. No IP address or user-identifying data is included.

3. Third Party Services

MuseVision integrates only the following third-party services:

• Advertising: Google AdMob.
• Performance monitoring: Firebase Crashlytics.
• App rating: Google Play In-App Review API. Your rating is delivered directly to Google Play and never passes through our systems.
• Image loading: Coil (a local-only Android image-loading library; no telemetry).

MuseVision does not integrate Facebook Audience Network, Pangle, Unity Ads, AppLovin, or any other ad mediation network at this time.

4. AI Wallpaper Generation (Coming in Version 1.1)

A future major update of MuseVision will introduce an AI-powered wallpaper generation feature. This feature is not yet active in the current production build.

When the feature launches, the following data flow will apply, and this Privacy Policy will be updated with the exact details at that time:

• The text prompt you type into the AI input box will be sent to our backend service for content moderation and to a third-party image-generation provider for image rendering.
• The generated image and the prompt may be cached temporarily on our backend for the purpose of de-duplication and abuse prevention.
• We will not associate prompts with your identity.
• You will be required to consent to the updated terms before the feature is enabled in your installation.

5. Log Data and Cookies

5.1 Log Data

When you encounter errors or crashes while using the application, we may collect log data through Firebase Crashlytics, including device IP address (transient, not stored by us), device name and model, operating system version, application configuration, timestamps and usage details.

5.2 Cookies

This application does not use cookies directly. Some third-party services (Google AdMob) may use cookies or similar technologies to enhance their services. You can manage or disable personalized ads in your device Settings.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We will not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. However, to fulfill essential tasks such as ad serving and crash diagnostics, we share the limited data described in Section 2 with the third-party service providers listed in Section 3.

Users have the right to request information about whether their personal data has been sold. A verifiable request can be submitted via email at yunhuikeji888@gmail.com.

7. Data Retention and Security

7.1 Data Retention

• Your favorites, viewing history, and unlock records are stored only on your device (private Room database) and are automatically cleared after uninstalling the application.
• Wallpapers you explicitly save are written to your phone's Pictures folder and remain entirely under your control.
• Firebase Crashlytics retains crash reports for up to 90 days, after which they are automatically deleted.
• Ad event logs are retained by Google AdMob according to their own retention schedule.

7.2 Security Measures

We take commercially reasonable measures to protect your information, including HTTPS transmission encryption for all network requests and regular audits of third-party SDK compliance.

8. User Rights

8.1 Opt-Out Rights

You have the right to opt out of: (i) targeted advertising, (ii) selling your personal data, and/or (iii) collecting personal information that would have legal or similar significant consequences for you. Contact us at yunhuikeji888@gmail.com.

8.2 General Rights

• Permission control: You can modify authorization at any time in the system Settings.
• Personalized advertising: You can reset the Android Advertising ID or turn off personalized advertising through your device Settings → Privacy → Ads.
• Data deletion: Uninstall the application to delete all local data (favorites, history, unlocks, preferences).
• Data sharing inquiry: Check whether your data is shared or sold by emailing us.

8.3 GDPR Compliance (European Economic Area)

If you live in the EEA, you have rights under GDPR including: access to your personal data, correction or update, request deletion, limit or object to processing, data portability, and withdrawal of consent at any time.

8.4 California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)

9. Special Notice (EEA, Switzerland, UK)

These terms apply exclusively to individuals located in the European Economic Area, Switzerland, and/or the United Kingdom when accessing or using our services. trikernl acts as the Data Controller. Any third party acting as our service provider is designated as a "Data Processor".

11. Children's Privacy

This application is not suitable for people under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We will not intentionally collect personal information of children under this age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used the App, please contact us and we will remove any data we hold about that user.

12. External Website Links

This application may contain links to external websites or services (for example, this Privacy Policy itself, the Terms of Service page, or links to the device system Settings). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites.

13. Policy Updates

We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be published on this page with the updated effective date. Material changes will be announced inside the App at least 14 days before they take effect.
